Shipping Information
The following are U.S. Postal Service closed holidays for 2024

Shipping is limited to only within the Continental United States and Puerto Rico at this time. We Do Not Ship to Canada, Hawaii, Alaska, Guam or Surrounding US Territories.
All orders will out ship from Monday thru Wednesday by way of USPS Priority (1-3 business days), UPS/FedEx 2 Day or UPS/FedEx Next Day. This helps reduce the chances of fish becoming stressed and/or DOAs due to being left at shipping facilities over the weekend. Vegas Betta ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DOAs DUE TO SHIPPING DELAYS OR LOST PACKAGES.
Live Aquatics will not be shipped on same day as when order was placed.
After order is placed, some fish will need to fast for at least 24hrs prior to packaging and shipping. This is done to minimize waste pollution inside bag while in transit. You will receive a confirmation email on the day of shipping with tracking number.
Shipping for Goldfish and Koi
All orders for Goldfish and Koi will ship via UPS/FedEx Next Day Shipping and will follow our regular shipping schedule outlined below. Orders on Goldfish and Koi are excluded from free USPS Priority Shipping promos.
Order Shipping Schedule for Live Aquatics and Plants
Most orders will require a 24hr holding period prior to shipping NO Exceptions! Wednesday is the last day of shipping for the week; this helps prevent packages from being held at shipping facilities over the weekends to ensure safe delivery.
Orders Placed On:
Wednesday - Sunday before 8 PM PST will ship Monday
Monday before 8PM PST will ship Tuesday
Tuesday before 8PM PST will ship Wednesday
Dry goods and supply orders will be fulfilled and shipped within 24hrs unless order includes live fish and/or plants. Then order will be shipped according to live fish shipping schedule.
PLEASE INCLUDE IN ORDER NOTES OR NOTIFY US ASAP IF YOU NEED YOUR ORDER HELD FOR LATER SHIPPING DATE.
Our goal is to ensure all live aquatics arrive healthy and safe especially during winter months. All live aquatics are carefully packaged in box with Styrofoam and heat pack when needed. However, there is no way to guarantee that live aquatics will arrive safely to their destination if current weather temperatures drop below 30 degrees. We ask all customers to take their location's weather conditions into consideration prior to placing orders and/or we may cancel if deemed necessary due to destination’s current weather.
When received fish most likely will arrive lacking color due to stress from shipping process. Please allow fish time to destress and become acclimated with their new environment. Photos of fish on site will be of the exact fish you will receive. Keep in mind lighting used to photograph fish will be different from your aquarium’s lighting; fish’s coloring may appear darker or lighter than actual photo. Due to growth and maturity of Betta fish particularly with marble genes they can still change colors and/or patterns within short periods of time. DOA (Dead On Arrival)/Live Arrival Guarantee
All customers are covered by our DOA/Live Arrival Guarantee
Beginning Monday January 22, 2024 all store credits must be used within 60 days of issued date. Any previously issued ( before Monday January 22, 2024 ) store credits will have until March 22, 2024 to be used before they expire.
- Vegas Betta will issue a store credit via E-gift card towards your next purchase for the purchase amount of product that is DOA; Shipping is nonrefundable.
- All store credit must be used within 60 days from the date issued
- Losses must be reported to Vegas Betta within 1 hours of receiving the shipment. To be eligible to receive credit, you must email us at DOA@Vegasbetta.com and include a CLEAR photo or video of the dead fish, shrimp or snail in its ORIGINAL UNOPENED BAG. We will check the timestamp of the tracking number to confirm the time of delivery. No exceptions.
- Once live aquatics are added to your aquarium, we are not responsible for sudden deaths or illnesses. All live aquatics are shipped healthy, once they are in your system, their continued good health is your responsibility.
Please take CLEAR PHOTO of the dead fish, shrimp or snail within its ORIGINAL UNOPENED/CUT bag within 1 HOUR of arrival and email to DOA@VegasBetta.com. Vegas Betta WIL NOT honor DOA/Live Arrival guarantee past this time frame. We ask all customers to plan ahead for delivery as Vegas Betta WILL NOT be liable for fish left outside in uncontrolled elements or missed deliveries. All DOA/Live Arrival guarantee requests will be verified with carrier for timestamp of delivery.
Refund Policy
PLEASE READ ALL POLICIES BEFORE PLACING ORDERS. ALL SALES ON LIVE AQUATICS ARE FINAL. NO RETURNS ON LIVE AQUATICS. IF FISH, SHRIMP OR SNAILS ARRIVE DEAD PLEASE REFER TO DOA/LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE. VEGAS BETTA WILL REPLACE OR PROVIDE STORE CREDIT VIA E-GIFT CARD FOR ONLY THE COST OF THE FISH AND EXCLUDES COST OF SHIPPING.

STORE CREDIT ON LIVE PLANTS WILL ONLY BE GIVEN WITHIN 2 DAYS OF DELIVERY AND WITH PHOTO PROOF OF LOSS.
ALL UNOPENED AND UNUSED DRY GOODS AND ACCESSORIES ARE REFUNDABLE WITHIN 7 DAYS OF PURCHASE. CUSTOMER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL COSTS OF SHIPPING.
Cancellation Policy
Live Fish:
Orders must be canceled within 12 hours of the original order to receive a refund. Funds may take 5-7 business days to become available.
Fish will be automatically removed from website’s inventory once your order is submitted, and payment is received. After the 12-hour period has passed, ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Any refunds may be charged a 30% restocking fee to offset non-refundable service charges and holding a fish that might otherwise have been sold to someone else. Store credit will be given towards future purchases.
In the rare occasion that a fish from your order will not be able to be shipped due to health concerns we will reach out in order to rectify the situation right away. If customer can’t be reached and to ensure the on-time delivery of your order, we do not hold orders due to a fish that cannot be shipped. The full purchase price will be refunded for any fish that cannot be shipped.
Once fish are added to your aquarium, we are not responsible for sudden deaths or illnesses. We will only ship healthy fish, once they are in your system, their continued good health is your responsibility.
Dry Goods and Accessories:
All orders on dry goods and accessories may be canceled at any time prior to shipping free of cost for full refund. Once orders are shipped customer must return unopened and unused product for refund, shipping costs are nonrefundable.
