Colors

Albino -  An albino Betta will have eyes that have either a reddish tinge or pink. One of the rarest this Betta is commonly mistaken for its cellophane or white varieties; which will have black eyes.


Black - (Black Lace, Copper/Metallic Black, Melano, Black Orchid)


Blue - Most commonly found (Royal, Steel, Turquoise)


Cellophane/Clear - Translucent skin with no pigmentation; may appear a soft pink due to the visibility of their organs.


Chocolate - Not an official Betta color and referred to as Bicolor Brown or Orange; these Bettas may have orange fins with a brown or tan color body.


Green - Typically being found in a variation of greens from turquoise to almost black; with pure green (visibly green to the eye with no other coloration) being semi-rare 


Opaque/Pastel - Cause by the recessive Opaque gene these Bettas will have powdery or whitewashed appearance, mainly found pink and blue.


Orange/Tangerine - These Bettas will need full color- spectrum lighting as they will appear more red under poor lighting.


Purple - The most rare and expensive coloration available; these Bettas typically will have hints of blue, lavender or red. True purple being the rarest to find and most expensive.


Red - Another commonly found color, most red Bettas will be bicolored with "Super Red" being the most sort after. 


Yellow/Pineapple - ( Non-Red ) May be found in a variation of yellow tones.
